Website Support Services (WSS)
INCATech supports the US State Department, Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA), Website Support Services (WSS) contract. WSS is responsible for design, modernization, enhancement, and operations of all of CA/CST’s internal and external facing informational websites and web applications. We perform full stack development using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and CMMI level 3 processes in a cloud based Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) model. Our Engineers integrated state of the art Adobe Enterprise Content Management and Esri Geospatial applications to deliver an outstanding mobile responsive user experience to over 100M visitors annually to the Travel.State.Gov family of public facing sites.
INCATech’s Geospatial Solutions Engineers support the Department of State’s Bureau of Consular of Affairs (CA) for Travel.State.Gov. We help the agency by developing web applications using Esri software that would be the most suitable for the their public website. We also maintain the current web applications and any in the future that come into development. We are also responsible for finding ways that Esri software can replace and enhance mapping software that the Department of State website is currently using. Our Geospatial Solutions Engineers maintain the Travel Advisory Map, which currently displays travel warnings and U.S. Consulates locations across the globe.
Humanitarian Information Unit
The Department of State’s Humanitarian Information Unit (HIU) informs senior policymakers within the U.S. Government on humanitarian challenges and complex emergencies worldwide. The HIU uses geospatial methods and analysis to produce visuals on a range of humanitarian issues. In addition to visual products, the HIU supports the creation of geospatial data and best practices for geospatial data management through MapGive and Secondary Cities. MapGive encourages volunteer participation for creating open geographic data that supports humanitarian relief and development programs. Professional Employee Support Services
INCATech provides professional services staffing support services to multiple bureaus within the Department of State. This five-year contract is an IDIQ with over 80 labor categories available for government wide use. The contract scope includes Information technology technical support, business analysis & program/project management support, & administrative/logistics services.
East Asia and Pacific Affairs
Additionally, at DoS, INCATech was responsible for project management, application and project documentation, supervision of junior developers, testing, database administration, training, and creating and maintaining database-driven web applications for the Department of State’s Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs (EAP). The technologies used included Microsoft SharePoint, ColdFusion, Dreamweaver, MS SQL Server, and Photoshop. Customer consistently provided positive feedback about services and awarded certificate of appreciation every year since 2006.
The primary functions of the State Department include:
- Provide protection and assistance for U.S. citizens traveling or living abroad
- Assist U.S. businesses and industries operating in the global marketplace
- Coordinate and provide support for international activities of other U.S. agencies, official visits overseas and at home, and other diplomatic efforts
- Inform the public about U.S. foreign policy and relations with other countries and provide feedback from the public to administration officials.
