October 2021: INCATech participated in the 2021 Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Reston Town Center again. We walked as a team to support those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer’s is one the top 10 diseases in America that cannot be prevented, cured or slowed. This walk is held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This year INCATech raised a total of $3,580 for the cause this time around. Thank you to everyone that came out to support the cause and we look forward to supporting more in the future. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
May - June 2021: INCATech hosted a food donation drive for Women Giving Back’s Snack Pack Program. Women Giving Back (WGB) is a non-profit organization that had its start in 2007. A core group of sales and marketing professional women from the homebuilding industry formed Women Giving Back (WGB); After recognizing that access to free quality clothing was a barrier to many homeless women and their children while living in the local shelters. In 2015, WGB moved to a new location as they had doubled in size. A program that WGB has in place is the Snack Pack Program. Many low-income parents rely on school meals to feed their children. Often, children go hungry on the weekends and school breaks when these meals are not available. The WGB Snack Pack program provides two days’ worth of easy meals for children. With your generous donations, INCATech was able to create 49 snack packs.
February - March 2021: INCATech's first volunteer event for 2021 was creating care packages for active-duty service members who are currently serving overseas via the Support Our Troops program. Support Our Troops is a 501(c)(3) public purpose charity that supports the morale and well-being of current military service members and their families. We appreciate the generous donations and thoughtful notes sent in by the INCATech Staff. The INCATech Team assembled care packages for the program at the corporate office. These care packages are very meaningful to the service members that are away from their loved ones.
December 2020: INCATech once again hosted a toy drive for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots. This December because of the pandemic those that participated in the toy drive had toys shipped directly to the office to follow CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19. The Toys for Tots Foundation raises funds, purchases toys for children up to age 17, provides promotional and support materials, manages all funds raised and donated, solicits corporate support, educates the public, and handles day to-day operations. Presently, the Marine Toys for Tots Program distributes an average of 18 million toys to 7 million less fortunate children annually.
September 2020: INCATech participated as a corporate sponsor for Little Lights, a non-profit organization that serves underprivileged youth and families living in Washington, DC. INCATech successfully contributed to Little Lights virtual benefit campaign. Employees were able to donate $1,044.13 to Little Lights, and in addition, the company will matched employee contributions with total $2,088.26. Thanks to INCATech, Little Lights was able to exceed their $100,000 goal! Employees were able to also volunteer in the virtual Zoom Heroes program and donate physical items such as toiletries, non-perishable goods and sanitary supplies.
